Katie Got Bandz Road to Success

Kiara Kasha Johnson formally known as rapper, Katie Got Bandz ,was born on July 22,1993, in Chicago, IL. She grow up in the Ida B. Wells projects. Idk B. Wells is one of the hardest places to grow up at on the southside of Chicago. Her interest and knowledge in music came at an early age. At the age 13 she became interested in music.Katie started rapping with Money Mob group producer Donta Moye (Block) and another artist Corneluis Haynes (Cannon). Katie was face with a hard decision as she was determined to better herself as a person after making wrong decisions. Doing this time a trip to jail help Kate Got Bandz relaize what she wanted to be in life. She was locked up for a month in the cook county jail. Throughout that horrible life experience she ask god to guide her into a new direction. After being released from jail, she vowed to pursue her dreams and help other youth not go down the same path. Since then she has spoken with many youths about her struggles and the obstacles it took to get where she is now. Katie says music is her love and passion. Katie started off on the right track after changing her life around with the street bangers I need a hitta, and Middle Fingers to Da Opps She is in the process of releasing her first mixtape on May 20th, titled Bandz & Hittas.
